My big dream? To make 500 pairs of hats, mittens, and scarves for the less fortunate. Doesn't sound very out there does it. Well for one I would have to learn how to sew more then just a straight line, and I have no idea where I would get the materials I need. And where did the 500 come from!? Just the number that is in my mind. I would like to change it to 100, but I know I would not be following what has been planted in my heart. I have always felt pulled toward helping those in need. It breaks my heart that there are people out there with nothing to keep them warm when it gets cold. I have no idea when or how this dream is going to happen, but it is never far from my mind.

that is neat! I would love to be involved in such a project.... also not really knowing how to sew in straight line..... May God increase your ability, and go and do what HE does best.... going "beyong" our abilities and resources..... I think MCC and possibly red cross might have groups for doing this... don't know if they provide materials..... the Fort Garry Place (behind broadway st hotel) had a room set up for people to come and do that sort of thing in - then I think the material was provided - don't know any thing of contacts tho - it was located on the second floor level....... maybe management of the building would know the name of which organization leased it. blessings
ReplyDeleteThis sounds awesome and is definitely something close to my heart also. I get cold outside even with all of my winter gear, i cannot imagine having none of that to keep me warm.
